Prepare images and videos
Use the public media tools when you need to change files rather than generate new content. Each tool explains its supported inputs and processing options on the page.
Choose the right tool
Section titled “Choose the right tool”| Goal | Tool |
|---|---|
| Change image format | Image Converter |
| Resize or crop an image | Image Resize & Crop |
| Change video dimensions | Video Resize |
| Take a segment from a video | Video Splitter |
| Join clips | Video Combine |
Try a simple export
Section titled “Try a simple export”- Open Image Resize & Crop and choose a copy of your image.
- Set the crop and dimensions for your destination.
- Review the preview and process the file.
- Download the result and check its dimensions and framing.
Use the same choose–configure–process–download flow for the other tools. For video, check the beginning, end, and audio of your export before sharing it.
Avoid surprises
Section titled “Avoid surprises”Keep the original file. JPEG does not preserve transparency; choose an appropriate format for background-removed images. Cropping can remove content at the edges. Large videos may take longer to process; follow the tool’s displayed limits and error messages.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”Use a prepared image in Magic Edit or Video Generation. Trim a clip before video face swapping.
